"Minneapolis-based duo Some Pulp (Graham Barton and Dane Hoppe) have honed a distinct brand of garage rock that combines bubblegum doowop and surf-inspired riffs with a touch of 70s glam. The first single off their self-titled debut, “Oh Oh (Who’s Cryin’ Now)” brings to mind the sweet and sour aspects of high school relationships, with Barton crooning “I will say you deserve it / I will say I told you so” and Hoppe singing backing vocals that would make any bobbysoxer swoon; grungy guitar and articulate drums carry us through a handful of crybaby choruses before the short ditty is over and begging to be played again."

"Minneapolis keeps serving up garage rock and we keep licking the plate clean. In May, Forged Artifacts will release the self-titled debut of Some Pulp, a garage-y, bubblegum trio of former Mitten state residents that found themselves in the even colder isolation of Minnesota. The debut runs the gamut of rock n roll high school curriculum with passing grades in all the 101 courses. On second single, "Tell Me Ur Mine", the trio even rip up the syllabus in favor of writing a catchy song that exists as the sum of their high school experience."

"I’ve been listening to the new self-titled LP for just over a month now, and it’s grown on me in ways I never would have imagined. The first song, “Undone ’93 (The Tube Top Song)“, starts the album off with an energy and sound that fills me with a feeling similar to what I imagine teenagers in 1994 felt when they heard Dookie for the first time. It familiarizes you with the wall of noise you’re to expect for the next half-hour and cradles you in its arms, all the while repeatedly punching holes in your eardrums. And when that finishes, “Oh Oh” comes right around and forces you to sing along. You can’t not – I dare you to try."
